Back Again: Uncertainties and Surprise Drafts

Can't believe it's been almost a decade since I last posted here.

I was going to just type up a short little paragraph to, I don't know, close out this page. Obviously, life has changed since the last time I've written anything to post on here. I no longer have time to attempt to write short stories, must move on to new pursuits, blah, blah blah, blah blah.

When I opened up my account though, I saw something in my drafts that got me curious. I apparently, I'd begun writing something around the end of October 2012 that I never completed, and thus never posted.

I don't even know if I can complete it. I don't even remember typing the words, much less if I had any plans for the plot moving forward.

But I'm intrigued enough to want to try.

So yeah, just below the jump break, I'm posting the bit of the story as I found it written up in my drafts. It doesn't have a title at this time, that's something I'll have to come up with, too, as I try and move this forward. I'm not even sure if I should try and continue this story here, or just create another blog somewhere else, to try and keep my posts somewhat cohesive.

But, hey, read on, and maybe you can turn this to a complete story.

Imagining More Complexly

I have lately been spending a lot of time on YouTube, watching Crash Course videos, specifically the ones about World History. One recurring "theme" (if one may call it that) is the idea that most of the conflicts in history have stemmed from a failure to imagine the world more complexly.

It has never been easier to stay awake during history class than when I'm attending this one.

Confession

I've only been alive for twenty-four years, so one can imagine that there are few things that I am certain about:

Dear You (#2)

I have spent the last two days in La Union, hanging out with my best friend Razel at her grandparents' house. We mostly stay in her room where we watch movies on her laptop, discuss our woes and then laugh about them; occasionally adjusting the ac when it gets too cold or too humid. We only go downstairs for meals and some TV, although we did leave the house this afternoon to go visit a local Chinese temple to take pictures.

Tulipa gesneriana

I've always wanted to stand in a field of tulips. Right now though, all I can do is dream and draw.
